I intend to write a monograph whose purpose is to inspire hikers and walkers to cherish the daily cycle of renewal when venturing outside.

I intend to publish a vignette of significant conservation literature to the sustainable mountain trails community on this page.

I intend to publish a rubric for sustainable mountain trail maintenance, rehabilitation and armor on this page.

I intend to publish about 50 inspirational mountain trail implementation details on this page.

I intend to publish about 15 principles of Sustainable Mountain Trail Planning, on this page.

I wonder how many hikers and walkers think about the restorative effects of hiking on a mountain trail or walking around a lake. I wonder if hikers and walkers think of their first steps at the trailhead as reformative … and the last step off of the trail as further reformative … and every step in between as nature’s treat to a restless soul.

I wonder what the world would be like if we left our houses to go walking / hiking … as a different person as a matter of course … then pursued each step as a joyous adventure … and then left the trail decidedly different as a person.

Greetings friends. I have been on a life-long journey to protect the earth and its fragile environment. I was inspired to pursue my profession as a landscape architect while in high school on Long Island as a teenager. I studied environmental science and landscape architecture at the SUNY Forestry College at Syracuse University in central New York.
